Objective: The Conference has to be a kind of “brain storming” and has to lead to the better understanding of several limited and very important research areas. The Conference is intended to provide a platform for researchers to exchange information and identify research needs in the interdisciplinary, rapidly developing research area of interfacial phenomena encompassing several disciplines including chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, applied mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Topics for discussions will include five scientific directions:
- Nano- and micro- structured surfaces for enhancement of phase change phenomena
- Contact line phenomena, droplets, sprays, dry spots formation, wettability effect
- Boiling, nucleation, bubbles, entrainment, critical heat flux
- Interfacial phenomena.Nonequilibrium effects on the gas- liquid and liquid- solid interfaces
- Phase change phenomena in confined space including biological applications (two-phase flows, micro channels)

Abstracts and papers: Submit your abstracts to the conference via https://iusti.cnrs.fr, by November 20, 2019. Template and instructions are available on the website. Notification of presentations acceptance: February 20, 2020. A special issue will be published in the journal Interfacial Phenomena and Heat Transfer. The manuscripts will undergo a full peer review and authors will be notified the publication procedure and schedule.
